MISSION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Manage effectively the assets of the Church, including Buildings and Grounds, Major Equipment such as Air Conditioners and Computers and Miscellaneous Resources such as Furnishings, Instrument and Tools.  This fosters the remainder of the Congregation to meet its own objectives within the church, local Community and at the overall UCC level.

MAJOR GOALS OF THE UCC CORNISH BOARD OF TRUSTEES

1) Actively progress to completion and through team effort, the Steeple Renovation Project.
2) Bring to completion all urgent corrective maintenance work in order to achieve a proactive and preventive position with all UCC Comish Buildings and Grounds.

STEEPLE RENOVATION PROJECT

2024

A) A current draft contract with a Project Manager will be revised and signed by both parties in the January timeframe.
B) The Design and Project Management phases will officially be put in motion following contact signing and we expect to be in a position to review and approve the design by the end of the first quarter.
C) Ideally, the Design will be submitted for bidding to three reputable contractors and a decision made on our choice of supplier by mid year as well as a start date for the construction phase.
D) All necessary documents will be submitted to the State of Maine to begin receiving progress payments of the State Subsidy .
E) Continuation of fund-raising activities as well as the means to put together a Door Recognition platform.
